DR BEHNAM SAHEECHA

MBChB 1968 Iraq DPM 1981 London

Dr Saheecha became a partner in 1989. Dr Saheecha speaks Arabic Has a diploma in Psychological Medicine (Psychiatry) London 1981 and is a Section 12-approved doctor under the terms of the Mental Health Act 1983.

DR NASEEM SAHEECHA

Bsc, MBBS, MRCGP

Joined the practice in September 2016, initially as a locum and then salaried role and then becoming a full time partner in April 2019. His specialist interests are Minor Surgery, Joint Injections and Elderly Care.

Nurse Practitioners

The Advanced Nurse Practitioner works autonomously and is accountable for own professional actions. Undertakes Clinical Nursing Practice at an advanced level using expert knowledge and clinical skills to deliver holistic care to people accessing primary health care services. Assesses diagnoses and treats patients attending primary health care services with a range of acute, non acute and chronic medical conditions. Assesses diagnoses and treats patients in surgery or own home who require acute medical attention and refer to appropriate agency. Refers patients to other medical specialities for assessment if deemed appropriate. Refers patients as appropriate to other members of the multidisciplinary team, secondary care and to other statutory and voluntary organisations including referral for X-ray.

LOUISA CLARE

Louisa is an advanced nurse practitioner from a nursing background who has been with the surgery since 2008. Is able to see patients regarding most issues including, chronic disease management such as COPD, asthma and diabetes. Is able to request blood test and scans. Can also diagnose conditions and prescribe medications as and when required. Louisa Clare, BSC (hons), Advanced nurse practitioner - Masters level 2020

Nurses

Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings. The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, minor ailment clinics and carry out cervical smears.

Practice Management

The practice manager is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The practice manager not only supports the GP's and other medical professionals with the delivering of patient services , but also helps to develop the extended services to enhance patient care.

JANET BUTCHER

Practice Manager

Joined the practice in 2022 after working 8-years locally as an Assistant Practice Manager. Responsibilities include overall operation of the surgery and personnel management.

TRACY LEVER

Assistant Practice Manager

Joined the Practice in 2003 and has been an Assistant Practice Manager since 2019. Deputises for the Practice Manager in her absence with day-to-day matters, doctors' appointments and personnel management.

Administration

To ensure that all incoming and internal patient correspondence is stored on/in the patients’ medical record and relevant information is coded. To be able to locate documents as needed by the clinical and non-clinical staff. To carry out administrative related tasks within the administration team as delegated by the doctors and Practice Manager

Reception

Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. All receptionists book patient's appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also carry out other important tasks such as the issuing of repeat prescriptions and dealing with other prescription enquiries. They also register new patients, amend current patient's records, carrying out searches and other practice audits.

Secretaries

The role of Medical Secretary is to provide secretarial support to the Practice Manager, GP’s and other members of the Primary Health Care Team.
